KTM 690
Have now had my new KTM 690 for almost 2 weeks, FUNNEST bike I have EVER been on!!! I can't believe that i still own my R6. This thing OWNS corners. I feel like a silly bastard on this thing, I'm sure that my smile is blinding other motorists and for that I'm sorry, but this bike is the ticket to happiness. it's INCREDIBLE, so much fun. It was hard for me to get accustomed to a single, so i was constantly revving the crap out of it once i got it past break in. it's not quite like my new R6, it's a real grunt. I love it, it's forgiving. I find myself setting up for turns where i normally would, but half way through the apex, I'm nearly pointed at a 90 degree angle towards the inside of the corner, so I stand it up, get 'er straightened out, and give 'er hell. it's a blast, i need to figure out just how late i can brake on it and enter a corner when i get to the track again. i bet this thing is a BEAST out there. no wonder the guys on the motards made me look stupid last time i went to a track day. nothin but smiles from this guy!

Re: KTM 690
Labor Day......well that's not 'til September! If I don't go to Sturgis on the 11th, I'm going to get my racer cert so I can do Clubman. If that happens, I'm going to finish out the year doing those. It's cheaper than track days, and from what Rizla Brian says, racing is even more fun than a track day.
You are more than welcome to join Ryan Smith, Andrew and I on a ride to Lowman this saturday at 1000. We are meeting at starbucks/albertsons in Eagle. I'll let ya take 'er through the twisties once or twice. Andrew had a BLAST on it, and I got to ride his new Duc, my first ride ever on a Ducati. That thing was AWESOME, I felt like I was on a track with all the greats, and riding atop the most advanced bike of the day.....I was instantly transformed, it was sooooo cool. Then I hopped back on my 690 and figured out what corners were made for.
