Looks very nice. Unfortunately, it's a Kwack and I've had bad experiences with them that are still too fresh in my mind. Perhaps in the future... it looks very BMWish though.

Were they big mechanical problems? This bike seems less quirky than a beemer and has features that a ST1200 dosn't have. JUst what I need for my 2 mile daily commute.

I had to fight a dealer error and take it all the way up to Derbi who was the importer of Kawasakis in Spain. They had to rebuild the engine, which they did under warranty, after I became their biggest headache for 2 months. Right after that I sold it.

I have had two other rider friends with the same problems as One's but without Kawasaki footing the bill. They have some nice bikes but the reliability and customer support keeps me away.

Nice nice. I'd buy one in a second. I've owned two Kawi's over the years, and my dad owned at least a half dozen during the years I was growing up. Never any problems. But, that does not speak to how they WOULD have treated me had I had problems. I simply have no experience with that aspect of Kawi as all their products my family has owned has been top notch and trouble free.

Like MV said I too have never had any problems with Kawi. Owned several as has my Dad and most of my buddies. Have never seen a mechanical failure that wasn't brought about by "blunt trauma!" And even those continued to run. I think some dealerships just leave you never wanting to go there again.

You know what, Honda is just getting their asses kicked up and down the road, left and right, Mike Tyson in his prime style. When are they going to ante up and put out some chit and compete? There are a number of bikes now on the market that they just don't have an answer for at all. One of them has been out for eons now (SV650). Soichiro died and the whole company got soft.

The GTR (Concours 14) has shortcomings. I still prefer the ST1300 at this point. I'll wait and see the next revision of the Concours and also the rumored redesigned Honda ST.

I looked at one at the Kawi shop yesterday. Looks and feels very similar to the FJR. It did feel less top heavy.
