Bosch oil filter # for a 954

Does anybody know the model number of the Bosch filter that works for a 954? Someone recently recommended it to me, but I don't know the model number....

Also, is the Bosch filter really a quality, low cost replacement for the stock Honda oil filter?

Personally, I'd stick with the stock one - How much cheaper is an aftermarket alternative, and is this really the place you want to economize? The OEM part is a proven piece - it flows and cleans the oil and protects the motor for a negligible cost per mile..

According to this page, you can use the 3300 or 3323:

Peter Verdone Designs - Motorcycle Oil Filters

I just noticed the other day that Honda updated their oil filter part number for all the small spin-ons, and combined several different filters under the new number. The VFR750/800 (15410-MM9-013), RC45/RC51 (15410-MT7-003), and CBR1000RR (15410-MCJ-003) all used to take a different part number filters, now they are all the same (15410-MFJ-D01). The OEM filters can be bought from Service Honda for only $8.27.

Re: Bosch oil filter # for a 954

appreciate it the advice!

I am not looking to economize really, just looking for what might be even a bit better and still at a good price.

I agree with you, Rick, that a filter is not the place to skimp for the sake of a dollar or two....
