This will be a somewhat short post, I worked last night, then drove to the Forward Air terminal in Chicago this morning, and just got home. LONG friggin day. This is actually not the bike I had my eye on when I sold the HD, but after I sold the Harley, the deal fell through on the bike I was going to buy. I guess everything happens for a reason, because less than a week later, I saw THIS bike for sale, and had the means to acquire it. More on the bike tomorrow after I've had some sleep
Edit: If this looks familiar, it was Pegram's Superstock bike last year (well, one of them anyway...)

Very nice. Can't wait to hear all the details. I remember seeing a color scheme very similar to that one if not identical about 10-15 years ago, but can't remember who's or where it was...

That is sweet. Was than an eBay find? Where do go to shop for something like that?

The paint is a throwback to most of Honda's mid 80's bikes. I think the NS500R is the one that this bike was probably painted to look like though.

I think it's gonna need springs though with my fat ass on it

Nice looking exhaust - that exit pipe is huge. I guess that's what you get when you're sponsored by Leo Vince.
I like the exhaust, and something tells me this isn't an "off the shelf" Leo Vince system, either.

Congrats on the purchase! That's going to be one incredible machine for you.
I can't wait to get it sorted, and out to the track! Hopefully I'll be able to get it done in time for Putnam in mid October.

Yeah, I saw this on ebay after asking about it on the WERA forum (see Whip's link above). Heh, even the bike that I missed out on was an ebay find.

Nice find.
You'll have to take it for a run at Grattan next year

I'll look the bike over tomorrow, and get a list of what it's got. I don't think I'll need to add anything though (except springs!)

No, that was the full on Superbike. This is the Superstock bike, and the guy I bought it from had it mapped by Mike Velasco. It "only" has 180hp at the tire on race fuel, and 171 on 93 pump gas. I think I'll need to reevaluate my brake markers with this one, just like going from the RC30 to the '04 CBR1000RR.

That's pretty effin' serious. Nice score Evl. I'm very jealous.

I was thinking that too. that up pipe to the muffler is freaking huge. reminds me of the Erion FX954 a guy had at the LAPS trackday on the 29th. no way was that stuff off the shelf either. if you wanna hate somebody hate that guy. in addition to the Zemke FX954 he also had Roger Lee's older FX 929 and Buckmaster's R7/R1 hybrid 03 FX bike. he also said he has a Muzzy's Raptor and he's getting an Erion FX 600RR this year.
