One for the Honda V fans

A Rogue member that I have been bugging for knowledge at WERA posted this (actually he is a nice guy and has been a ton of help)

<------ I know that track!!! I must admit it was slightly 'more humid' when I was there.

Thanks for posting! Fun stuff to watch!

Some sort of 400. Not really sure if it started as a VFR, RVF or RC though. Pretty trick now and he rides the snot out of it. Though at Road Atlanta I MIGHT be able to keep up due to the back straight advantage (otherwise it is game over)

He is a very good rider, and besides the high cornering speeds he is also haulin' ass on the straights, reeling bigger bikes in - That's one aggressive 400.

I was trying to figure it out by the sound of it. Maybe its one of those G-Force VFRs. Whatever it is, its darn fast and that dude can ride! A good handling 400 with decent power can rail through corners all day long! He's got good power too. My CB-1 would top out down Road Atlanta's back straight. It sounded to me like his pulled all the way to the braking zone! Very impressive!!!

Yep I have picked up a ton from him. He used to have an RC but now is a huge fan of the little bikes (which do look fun to race I admit). I already knew he was MUCH faster but we were talking gearing at Barber on the RC and I was even more humbled. I run a 15-42 and never hit 6th, he said he ran a 15-40 and was hitting redline in 6th . He said he had scared himself a couple of times at that. I would have needed to buy new leathers if I had since there would be no cleaning them.

He also helped me on a couple of setup items and mentioned my BT003 was going off. Mentioned a couple of handling things and their feedback that I was able to notice in the practices also. Of course in the section practice when I come up over turn #4 at Barber at WOT and the bike unloads a bit with the back end stepping out about 4 inches in a nice slide for a bit.... yep that tire was shot He didn't even get the I told you so out since I gave him credit to fast. ALWAYS listen to the number one plate guy as the information is likely good (well unless they are running your class)

Though that was a WERA race so while he is reeling folks in that is not real big bikes out there with him. My RC can pull him a bunch of lengths down that straight even with his better corner speeds onto the straight. Though he would get a bunch back at the end. Road Atlanta is very big bike friendly though with new turn 12 and 3 it is less so than it used to be (they might have made the track safer but they ruined the flow).

VFR 400 for sale on supermotojunkies

This is an old three page thread, and I never learned if either of the bikes actually sold. They wanted a bit more than 4K, though.

Be real cool if you had some kiwi tracks to add:

    reviews and stuff:
    Tracks / Track Days & Schools - MotorcycleAddicts.org

or just locations to the collected google earth file (post one is the latest):
    Race tracks and Google earth

I would love to get down there to y'all and Australia both one day but to go that far I would want a bike and a month. So not anytime soon
