An addiction no rehab can cure
2007 Honda CBR600RR
Talked to the local dealer about these the other day. Reading all of the hype on line (and it does look like an awesome bike), you'd think people would be lining up for them. He said not one pre-order yet.
Price might have something to do with that. $9,499 or around there for a 600? Those little badboys are getting pricey!

A lot of bang for the buck, though. If this iteration of the 600 was out back when I got my 1000, I might have gone that route instead.

I don't like putting money on my RR whenever I see that bike..... I want to send my forks to Dan but........

Re: 2007 Honda CBR600RR
The '07 600RR would be my first pick if (big if) I were to get a new bike these days. Honda has done their homework...

I thought about waiting for one rather than buying the '06 I did, but couldn't justify spending an extra $4,000 plus by the time I modded it with equivalent suspension, rearsets, etc. But if a stock '07 passes me on the track I'm gonna be pissed...
No, you'll put your head down and go harder

I'm curious about the way that transmission is supposed to work. Doesn't have the slipper clutch, but it works in a similar fashion. Things that make you go Hmmm....

I want to read a head-to-head comparison with the Triumph 675. Sam Fleming would be a good choice for that...

That is pretty expensive. I'll have to swing by my dealer next week and see if they've sold any yet.
Did your dealer mention delivery dates?

March nor'easters bring April...flooding...
Re: 2007 Honda CBR600RR
It looks awesome! However, if I'm to pick up a trackbike, I think I want to find a leftover '06. Still got that '06 GSX-R on my mind, too. I think I need to get some lottery tickets..

Like a stock one would pass you on the track.

Re: 2007 Honda CBR600RR
I went on a limb and bought my first "new" bike in years with the 06 600RR, and I thought that was too spendy for my taste. It looks like an excellent machine, but I'll wait and find a post-squid one early next spring and build a track bike out of it then. A lot cheaper that way!
There is no 12 step program or counseling available for my addiction...thank God!

Re: 2007 Honda CBR600RR
Oh, maybe in that case.
I just thought maybe you were referring to a stock white and silver one.

Re: 2007 Honda CBR600RR
It looks like Honda is actually getting serious...I think they are about 3-4 yrs too late in their thinking but its about time...now if it can just live up to the hype...

I know what you mean. That '07 is really sweet, but I couldn't see spending that much plus mods on a brand new bike that I would primarily be using on the track.
