    2007 Honda CBR600RR

Talked to the local dealer about these the other day. Reading all of the hype on line (and it does look like an awesome bike), you'd think people would be lining up for them. He said not one pre-order yet.

Price might have something to do with that. $9,499 or around there for a 600? Those little badboys are getting pricey!

A lot of bang for the buck, though. If this iteration of the 600 was out back when I got my 1000, I might have gone that route instead.

The '07 600RR would be my first pick if (big if) I were to get a new bike these days. Honda has done their homework...

I'm curious about the way that transmission is supposed to work. Doesn't have the slipper clutch, but it works in a similar fashion. Things that make you go Hmmm....

That is pretty expensive. I'll have to swing by my dealer next week and see if they've sold any yet.

Did your dealer mention delivery dates?

It looks awesome! However, if I'm to pick up a trackbike, I think I want to find a leftover '06. Still got that '06 GSX-R on my mind, too. I think I need to get some lottery tickets..

Like a stock one would pass you on the track.

I went on a limb and bought my first "new" bike in years with the 06 600RR, and I thought that was too spendy for my taste. It looks like an excellent machine, but I'll wait and find a post-squid one early next spring and build a track bike out of it then. A lot cheaper that way!

    Oh, maybe in that case.
I just thought maybe you were referring to a stock white and silver one.

I know what you mean. That '07 is really sweet, but I couldn't see spending that much plus mods on a brand new bike that I would primarily be using on the track.
