Do too.
I'll pass the link off to the guy at work having trouble titling his. Maybe he'll dump that one and pick yours up.

If I remember correctly your buddy is in Huntsville?
I think I sent you a pm or him one telling him how to
go about getting a proper title. If not tell him to go
to his DMV office and ask for papers for a "Surety
Bond" title. They will give him two forms for getting
a survey or estimate that needs to be filled out by a local
legal motorcycle dealer that has a dealer number. Those
are then sent in along with a "application for certificate of
title" the form is yellow in color. That is sent to the DMV
along with the estimate. The state will then send a form
that he takes to his insurance company(most of the time)
to have a surety bond issued. The cost of the bond is based
on the amount which the state assigns based on the estimates
given by the dealers.
NOW, it is best that those estimates be close to the value
of the bike. That is value in the UK because these bikes will
always bring more money here. In my case my bond was based
on 1500 which made my bond cost 100 IF YOU GET MY MEANING.
MAIL ME OR MESSAGE ME IF HE NEEDS MORE HELP.

Thanks for the titleing info. I am hoping to bring a few over from Japan in the future, but need to know how to get them properly registerd before I make any investments. My focus will be on the CBR400RR (NC29), VFR400R (NC30) and RVF400R (NC35). The nice thing is the NHTSA already approves the NC30 & NC35 to enter the states. The problem is the EPA. I found a loop hole for it, but need to investigate it more.
I had a race NC30 inthe late 90's and it was feirce! It had some nice HRC parts onit as well. I sold it and currently the person who bough tit got way deep into developing motor parts. You can see what is going on with it here G-Force Engine Development and here G-Force Racing
Great thread though and thanks again for the DMV info. I'll go and check them out this week.

Thanks.
I cn tell you. An NC30/35 properly setup with a rider who knows how to use the bike, it is an SV killer!
The NC30/35 can corner like it is on rails. You have miles of ground clearance.
The statement about the NC30 have better carbs than the NC35 is correct. If you ever get an NC35, put NC30 carbs on it. Also, I put an NC35 wheel on mine with 160 tires. My NC30 had an HRC air scoop, HRC intake plate (no airbox) and HRC jet kit installed. It also had the HRC mod done to the fuel valve. When running these bikes at high speed/high RPM, the motor gets starved for fuel because of the vacuum delivery. The petcock needs to have the internal rearranged to allow the fuel to free flow.
One of the quintessential/ unobtanable parts for the NC30/35 is the flat slide carbs that Keihin made. They were not mass marketed and were given only to race teams. I am setting a goal on trying to get a set of these. I probably will never find a set, but I am goin gto make it a goal of mine to try.
I am currently rebuilding a Honda CB-1 from the ground up, but my long term goal is to get another NC30 and rebuild it from the ground up into a formula 400 superbike. The NC30 is my all time favorite bike and would love to have another one for the track. Again, they are outstanding on the track

IF this mod is done its best to know for sure that
the fuel tap can close all the way or you danger
hydrolocking the motor. Also, HRC mods are best
done all and not one or a couple.
When I got my bike the last owner did the air box
and tray mod but didn't use an upgraded filter or
carb jet kit so the bike would not run in any gear
higher than 3rd or RPM higher than 8k. When I
put the stock air box, tray and filter back on
it ran like a champ.
Also, the HRC fuel valve mod he did wouldn't close
so the motor would fill with fuel. I think the only
mod that you can notice without doing jets, up-
graded air filter, HRC air box, and tray is to enlarge
the hole in the carb slides. This one mod improves
how the motor revs better than any other. Best of all its
nearly free.
My point is, if you do any of the HRC
mods its best to do them all in order
to make the engine run its best.
OH AND bbanna, I have seen the carbs you
speak of MANY times for sale on the yahoo
classifieds in Japan. Keep looking on that
web page they will turn up in short order.
OR you could just bow up with some of that
money and get G-force fuel injection

Yes thats the one. I should tell you that
I haven't looked for them in over a year,
when my carbs were giving me fits.

I have been on that site for a couple years now and have not seen a set yet. II did get a set of FCR flat slides for my CB-1 though. Have yet to install them, but have yet to put the bike back together as well.
You may have a very valid point there about the G-Force fuel injection setup.
