    Installing a headlight on a 50?

Had anyone ever done this? Installed a headlight on a bike that doesn't have a headlight? I looked at getting some battery powered lights, but they are pretty pricey. I think for the money I can get the parts to run off my motor.

Assuming the stator is putting out enough wattage to run a light...you can probaly go with an AC unit off an old 80's era XR or similar. Otherwise your going to have to also install a voltage regulator and rectifier to turn the varying AC current the stator is giveing off to a steady 13 or so volts. You'll also probaly need a capaciter or battery in there to act as a buffer to keep the light output constant.
