2009 VFR 990cc

I just saw this article on a Spanish website. They're usually off by a bit, but most of the time their claims hold some facts.

Honda VFR 1000 - novedad - Motociclismo.es

Roughly translated...

"Honda will announce it in September or October for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the brand.

Five cylinders in V derived from the RC211V. It seems to be targeted to replace not only the 800cc VFR but also the CBR1100XX.
It's been five years in development. The bike has come to light due to some patents necessary for its development.
Project managed by Eng. Yoshiteru Kinoshita.
As a new development, it seems like it'll use a two part frame connected by the engine.
Combined ABS.
It goes back to one curved radiator behind the front wheel.
Electronic shifter via two buttons at the left clip-on, no shift lever, with double clutch."

I hear it will be part of the same launch campaign as the RC61.

Sound resonable to me

If they ever make anything like it, they should have Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy take it out on the track first.

Based on the plumbing of the exhaust alone the thing will have to weigh in at a minimum of 700lbs, dry.

I would love a double clutch gearbox that matches revs on downshifts.

This thread is whatever it is... so like whatever...
But I heard it from the horse's mouth that the new V5 is coming out a few days after the 60th anniversary which will be on Sept. 24th.

This is the real deal, no-questions-about-it, don't-doubt-it, picture-I-took-myself-in-Japan-last-week, of the new VFR. For real yo...
