There have been about 6 of these on eBay during the past 4 years and all have been around $75K or thereabouts.

Remember this was a satellite bike and never really used by the official "Factory" riders except for Tomada and he was really a development rider. It's basically 2 dirtbike 250 cylinders in a V configuration and shared several parts with the HRC Motocross bikes. In reality, several riders found it hard to deal with as it had so much lower midrange it was hard to keep the front end planted (and it ran out of steam on the top end). Joey Dunlop did a couple of laps at the Island and switched back to the RVF750 for the races the year they gave him the NSR V Twin to ride.

The premier class NSR500 was a V-3, right?

Nope. V4 (at least since the V3 was retired in the late 80s)
