Looks like an abortion. Did Honda have some left over parts in the inventory and decide to put this crap together and sell it? And only 680cc with an automatic tranny.

There's a lot of interesting technology on that bike that will get some real world testing. I'll wager it does well enough in Japan to make it to Europe in some form....

Fwiw, I'd be interested in riding the HFT just for kicks...would be an interesting to see how much they've been able to improve the system with modern day tech...

Thank you Honda! I should have realized that you know what I want more than I do. I'll forget all about that VFR 1000 that I've been waiting years for now!

Personally, I'm thankful Honda didn't release anything like a VFR1000. I have a bunch more work to do setting up my garage before I can fit another bike in there.

What are you suppose to do with that?

Looks like they took a SHADOW and ST and mated them.

Have to see it in person.

as for HFT, believe it or not there are people out there that love automatic motorcycles. Yamaha's AE FJR gets rave reviews. And since the FJR constantly kicks the ST azz in reviews and sales Honda needs to do something. Didn't think it would be building something like this though.

Oh well, little people like to ride too.

Ummm....it's a Japanese release fellas...

Fwiw, they didn't "get it" over at hypersportliterbikeswithracerepfairings.org either...

You know me, Bake. If I wanted it, I'd find a way to get one here.

I'd say in places where motorcycles are used as vehicles and not just toys it'd be a cool commuter bike. I'd probably take that over big scooter.

Now, take that back! It would have looked nicer with an ST parent. That's obviously spawn from a Pacific Coast...particularly with the V twin engine.

Doesn't sound all that terrible for a commuter. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

I wonder how long before that HFT transmission shows up in a Goldwing as an option. 2 years?

I wouldn't think it would necessarily be the exact same tranny, but one like it. Bigger case, more clutch plates, etc.

I don't think it has a clutch.
