Take a Peek at My Tail...

...I knew you wanted to!!!

I bought some used Airtech race body work for the RC51. These things are great quaility! Very solid 'glasswork. A step above Shark Skinz, IMHO.

The race tail would not go on over the stock SP2 subframe. Abtech confirmed that some components needed to be relocated inside the frame to make it fit right, so I got to work on the project.

I had an SP1 sub frame I wasn't using, so I fabricated a floor for it from diamond plate aluminum sheet I bought at a hardware store. Lined it with tool box drawer foam sheet, and used some alum angle to make battery and relay mounts. I relocated the controller bow inside the sub frame, the rear master cyl under the tail, mounted to the rear fuel tank mount bolt, and rerouted the wiring. Turned out pretty good! The underneath pics didn't come out as well as I would like.

At least for the time being. Several things are up in the air regarding the bike's future with me. I hope to make the decision after next weeks testing at JenningsGP. I have gathered an International array of talent to help me evaluate it.
