Pretty sweet looking ride.

I think the MotoGP DNA is a bit more than just adspeak with this one.

Well right out of the gate it's done something a Honda sport bike hasn't done in a while: Create a shitload of controversy. A good start.

Yeah, it's really grown on me. Seeing the pics of it with people next to it really put the bike in perspective.

Here, here....wouldn't it be wonderful if all of the teams had a decent shot at winning weekend in and weekend out...sure would make for some fun and dicey racing...

Funny the way it was worded. They sounded surprised: "“We’re actually very pleased,” said McGrath. “It wasn’t slow. It actually hung pretty good."

You forgot the rest of the quote. "We had the radar on it, and it’s got pretty good speed already,” adding that the CBR ran a similar speed to the developed Suzuki GSX-R1000 of the Jordan Motorsports team. A stock engined bike matching the speed of a developed superstock bike is nothing to scoff at.

“It wasn’t slow. It actually hung pretty good."

Hanging with the leaders and being well hung are not the same thing.

What's up with the exhaust?

yeah, that's tasty with all of the SBK suspension bits on it... THe black hides the nasty nasty lines of that fairing nicely too.

Looks much better in Darth mode like that. That black/yellow mix in the article photos is hideous.

I actually quite like the yellow bike... it would look better with a yellow tank though.

In Japan, Honda is going to sell a track version of the 2008 CBR 600, same for the 1000.

600RR
It will mount new set of forks, a more freely flowing exhaust, new reprogrammed ECU, and some other Minor mods.
1000RR
The mods on the liter bike are more extensive.
New gear box, and highly modded engine case and components, HRC clutch, modded suspension front and back with hight adjustment for the rear, lap timer, exhaust looses the valve and the catalyzer,
and some other minor mods, like no headlight, mirrors, etc...

Personally I think that's a great idea and hopefully they'll bring some to the US market.
