Howdy.....

Name is JD, 29, married father of 3rd on the way. Just bought a Kawi Ninja 650r and I'm ready to move up after a month. More responsible cooler head will have to prevail. But I plan to try and get a deal for end of the year or wait till spring to move to a GSXR750/600 or a Zx-6r.

I got the link from ND4SPD who I've known since my early days raising hell on SHOForum........

Btw, been riding as long as I've owned the 650. Its a nice bike, love the gas mileage and the riding position while tucked.

Moving to a faster bike isn't always moving "up". If you've been riding for a month, that 650R has plenty of capability you probably haven't begun to tap.

Re: Howdy.....

Yeah, wife wants 4, I wanted 1, we see who won....... I'm all about getting it done while your young.... am I rhyming here or is it just me? My oldest is 3.... damn it I can't stop....... what can I say, I'm not an old Pop........ I'm still 29....... still have plenty of hobbies.......

I haven't ridden in a couple days and people in my area are talking drought..... I have a damn roofing staple in my tire that needs fixed. The 650 is nice I think if I could fix the throttle pull I would like it a whole lot more. And I'm not saying I'm an expert but for the month I've been riding.... I'm further along than most people. I've got experience on most things 4 wheels and stints on the race track (talking caged competive racing turning left and right at high speed) has taught me how to drive on the street and how to better anticipate the idiots in the cages. To give you an idea (again I realize this doesn't directly translate to 2 wheels) but I've been on Blackhawk Farms, IRP and Gingerman. For my racing school, I was one of 2 people to be given a waiver and skip my second day of school, 2 weeks later I was officially racing wheel to wheel.

Re: Howdy.....

As I said previously, I was thinking about a GSXR750/600 or a Kawi Zx-6r. Still staying away from the liter bikes...... Doubt I'll ever own a liter bike. Is this site a honda fan club or something? lol.....
