Up on the table now, awaiting an informed tweeker. This thing is really very clean all over. I'll have to rebuild the forks and do some fiberglass repair/tank banging.
Planning on starting with the carb rebuild - a bowl drain yeilded dark brown liquid which my daughter agrees smells like rubber/plastic... so I'm tryng to source a rebuild kit for these Keihin VD 36mm (VD77A).
Also, wondering the necc frequency of valve adjustments on these beasts - (Bike has only 6K miles and the book says I'll need to replace gaskets after adjusting valves so I'd like to skip that step.)
What else?
Thanks for havin me - JC

My inspiration - Exile cycles and of course Duckman DBBP.COM.
If I'm gonna fill my stable I'd like to try to satisfy all of my preferred riding styles Sport/street/dirt - not necc the strip... Yet.
Unfortunately this goal leads to too many projects, which can at times lead to wrenching while others ride.
Right now it's more about wrenching.
Thaks for the welcome.

Reason: yet.
I wasn't familiar with Duckman - I appreciate that sense of style from the Big Daddy Roth logo to the dual scoop Atomic Wedge. It reminds me of the exaggerated hot rod design of my youth, and looks like the sketches we all made in algebra class. Not the usual run-of-the-mill chopper we see around here.
