New Guy - Sort Of
Hello All!!
My name is Eric Pedersen. I attended the event last year as a guest of DEPO. Please don't hold that against me, we've been buddies for years. I had such a good time, I had to sign up again. I became a member shortly after last years event, so my introduction is long overdue. I'm not much of a computer user, as you can tell.I live in NW suburban Chicago and have been riding for years. Finally, a couple years ago I attended my first track day event and it's hard to get out of my mind now. My first bike was an F2 and I put about 35K on it before letting it go for a Ducati. I always did miss that old F2 though, so when I had the opportunity to get another one CHEAP, I couldn't resist. Besides, what better way to start doing track days is there than a cheap and reliable F2? It needed a few parts, the tires were shot and all the bodywork was broken. It only had 12K miles, it ran great and he only wanted 400 bucks for it! You might have seen it last year, it's silver now and has a giant greyhound sticker on the tail. Now, I ride this track only bike more than any other one I've got. I don't ride on the street much anymore, it's too nerve-racking around town. The track days are great for me, I get my speed fix every month or two now. I might like a cruiser though. I recently went on a three day ride with my brother and Depo and enjoyed that an awful lot. A relaxing (cold) ride through the SW Wisconsin hills was great, but a slightly more comfy mount would be ideal. That's my motorcycle story! I hope it wasn't too long winded. See you at the track! Eric. |

Hey Eric, glad to have you around.
There's a really nice ST1300 for sale here that would put Depo's UlyBagger in your rear view mirrors(until you had to go off-road): http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/sale-wanted/15138-2007-honda-st1300-non-abs-7-400-miles-located-raleigh-nc.html

Welcome, Eric. We'll *try* to not hold your friendship with Depo against you, but we can't promise anything.
See you at the track. Not bringing the 748 also, are you? |

Nope, there's not much room. Are you bringing your HM? I'm planning on attending a HyperMotard test ride at a local Ducati dealer at the end of the month. They look like an absolute blast!
