Back Again

Hey guys -

I've haven't been on for a while, but I'm back at my co-op sitting in front of a computer all day so I'm sure I'll be posting alot more.

My ZZR was actually stolen, again... about 2 weeks ago. Looks like my insurance is coming through and I'm looking at getting a '07 1kRR from Southern Honda. Finally going to step up to the big boys bike.

While I've been waiting for my insurance to come through on the ZZR I had been riding my mom's virago 250, I look like a gorilla on that thing. About a week ago though I was leaving a quick trip and got broadsided by a lady on a cellphone in a Suburban. Witnesses said that she hit me doing about 30-40 mph. Somehow there was more damage to the SUV then there was to me and my bike, I actually picked it up and rode it home. I'm just banged up and needed stitches in my leg.

Anyways, I'm just psched about finally getting my first blade!

Oh yeah - Brooke, I know you'll read this, when you join a site your supposed to introduce yourself...

I actually had an alarm, I just got bad about setting it. I'm going to get the Scorpio RFID alarm for the new bike, that way I can't forget

Luck on the stolen bike sucks, but thats what insurance is for... I was fortunate with the accident though. Shoulda been alot worse, my dumbass was not wearing any gear and only a half helmet and boots... Cause a crash with a 2fiddy cruiser hurts less, right? Besides nothing will happen in that short of a distance, right?

Yeah Yeah, flame on... I deserve it.

Welcome back, gt.

Saw Ms. Brooke had dropped a couple pics in her album and noticed you're on her friend list so I sent her a welcome message.

Should be going to pick up the CBR tonight, full gear for me. I need to stay on a sport bike, it feels retarded wearing gear on a cruiser...

...and how does road rash feel? Oh and part of my half day yesterday and my strange vision today is an eye injury years ago. I had goggles on..... around my neck Don't be a lemming gear is good on ANY bike (if it is running you need a helmet, even in the pits).

Well, actually all the injuries I got wouldn't have been prevented, the gash and bruising on my leg was from the suburban hitting me straight on. I actually don't have any road rash, not even on my hands. I guess I landed on my feet.... I think I'm blessed.

Thanks! It is a Canon 40d with my favorite lens (Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS). Love it! Enjoyed looking through your photography. I'm hoping to have some fun shooting track days in the future. Any tips?

Thanks Brooke. The site isn't done yet but the photos are fun to look at.

Geez. Was that post edited after I replied or did I have a stroke and not see the tips question?
