New, Kinda

I "joined" last summer, I never really have been active on the site. Some of your may know me, Tim Whitaker. I was very involved with Trackoholics and I am mostly active on the TSBR board in Toledo. I just moved to Waterloo Iowa to work at John Deere and got thinking about back home and trackdays and remembered Frank and the deal he put on. I figured I'd better get involved with the group and see who is riding where. I plan on doing a few days with NESBA at Blackhawk this summer, maybe a day or two down in Newton Iowa. Besides, you never know, there actualy may be a sportbike or two in Iowa and what better way to find one!

Currently I'm riding an 07 600rr and am doing a few mods to it. I hope to see some of you around!

He shall remain nameless. BUT, if he sticks to form, when you guys begin to thaw out he will got for his anagural DUC ride and post pics of random locations of IA. Attempting to show us all what a fun and wonderful place it is to be. Mean while us Left COASTERs will continue to rack up miles and log massive amounts of track time.

Yeah, I'm the one in Iowa...wishing I had a Ducati but happily making due with my F4i.

Tim maybe I'll see you around. I made it to Mid-America one day last year. Was going to do a day at Iowa Speedway on the road coarse but they cancelled it.

Thank You all.....I can't wait for this fricken weather to break!

The funniest thing is that one time at Grattan I went off track outside the sweeper and rode it all the way down to the bus stop. When I came in my buddies asked if I was mowing the lawn and if I was going to paint my bike John Deere green. Of course, now, it's all I've heard!

Running in reverse I did the grass at the end of the straight on the left then cut back across and did some on the right side going down the hill. I believe we have some other Grattan lawn mowers here. maybe between all of us its probably close to getting it all mowed.

Yeah, I was there then and you can have it. Mowed some grass and plowed some mud I think, as the ground was wet! I remember abtech specifically talking about that banking on the track walk too! I guess you just had to find out for yourself if he was correct. I could be mistaken Z, but you may be the only motorcyclist to have survived that ride!

I still don't know how you pulled that out of your subframe...

so we have the outside around the sweeper and basically the whole outside of the track at the bus stop cutting to the inside up the hill and next to the straight, then we have T1-2 outside. now we need to get from T3 to the bowl mowed. anyone done them yet? the grass has to be getting pretty tall there.

ONE might as well volunteer to smooth the gravel around the outside of T1 while he's out there.

I already have the paddock covered, and I'm not volunteering for more! I also mowed a swatch from the bowl to the sweeper across the small sand trap that only Dave saw. Bumpy ride that was! We never told anyone about that.

Ahhh, fond memories! However, the on track and social memories are greater, and will be forever!

Makes me want to take a ferry at the end of June...

I guess I should bring home some John Deere green paint and we can start painting little lawn mowers on the side of all of our bikes for each time we do some Super Moto-ing!
