New compressor

The plan is to be able to change tires myself at the track next year. There was a deal on this compressor at Canadian Tire this week so I grabbed one last night.

8 gallon tank with 2.5 hp motor, all the cheap tools on the pics came with it for 200$. Will see how it works in a few months

Re: New compressor

Good brand. Be sure your generator can handle the startup surge (higher than the operating amps). Then a no-mar?

My truck.... I like changing tires on my truck when I do track days with my bike. Helps me relax.

I guess that answers the question we've been wondering about all along.

Re: New compressor

Nice addition. I have used mine at the track on my generator and had no issues. 2500watt

Re: New compressor

Congrats
Just remember the more expensive the air tool - the less air it uses to do the job well and your smaller compressor will thank you for that

Are you getting a cheetah and a tire machine or you just using this to power air tools?

Re: New compressor

The plan is to get, or make a custom tire machine and be able to change tire myself at track days. There was a few track days here this summer that had no tire service at all and it put me in a situation I did not like.

It's no fun to have 4 new tires in trailer and have to ride with tires that you don't trust anymore.

Also don't want to miss anymore sessions because I'm waiting on my tires to be changed.

Re: New compressor

Good deal. I'm a little strapped for cash, so will have to hold off. Been eying a compressor and tools from Crappy tires for my cars @ home to rotate tires on.

NoMar with the trailer hitch attachment Even with zero experience and no video (both of which help a LOT) we were able to swap multiple bikes to rain friendlier tires at Putnam. For a less biased opinion ask Hammer or Kawboy69 as they were there. I believe Seamus also has one.

Yeah, I'm interested in one of those for sure. Just a little over my budget but I might go for it anyway

I do. So far (less than a year), I've saved about 1/3 the price of the changer in tire changes.

No matter what you see in the video, it just isn't that easy the first few times you use it.

I thought you just used your bare hands to slap the tire around a little bet then suggested it would be a good idea to get on the rim.
