Re: GarageWorks

It is going to look great when finished.....

I was spoiled in the fact that my garage when I purchased it was dry-walled, taped, painted and trimmed. It looks like another room in the house. It is also 42 by 36

Nope but I calculated spacing to use every panel Of course when I get my bench and some more rolling cabinets

But I do need to be organized... not as bad as what I have heard about FrnechieR6's fridge though

As noted only start if you want to spend $$ Of course when it is in it is cool stuff. I can reconfigure shelving and roll cabinets real easy. Plus it seems like spiders don't like to web the stuff

You know at some point Sheep checks the bank account and sighs, then thinks "I don't see any spider webs though - that must be another feature! yes! see I knew it was worth it!!!"

I can only speak like this cause I've been there myself

no this has been a multi-phase project and when I build my next house the entire garage will be this rather than drywall.

The sad truth is I am the world's most disorganized organized person. On some items I do real well and on others (most) the Sheep Deficit Disorder kicks in hard Garage/tools I GOT to have organized or it will eat at me even in my sleep. I got one more shelf coming in then some more hooks. After that I am fighting the urge for a 8' bench and 2 more cabinets to go under it

I just built a 5' bench out of some countertop. Spend the $$ on the eight the first time around my friend. You would not want to have come this far only to stop just when it's about to get good.

I also highly recommend to get yourself something with wheels, similar to this:

Shop Desks > Plastic Stock - GlobalIndustrial.com

They have nicer ones, of course, but you'll definetely want one that is flat topped and/or has pneumatic wheels. This will make all things easier as you won't have to have a 'home' side when working on the machine.

I actually have a cart similar to that (not a rubbermaid and not nearly as solid) that I mounted a small 6.0 scfm compressor to, and it's nice cause the plastic absorbs some of the noise from it while keeping the need for 1000' of hoses unnecessary most of the time.

Oh by this time next year I will have the bench and a Gearbox and another GearDrawer to go underneath. I don't use air tools so not a problem there.
