Time to change the brake fluid?

So I am redoing the Ascot and put new pads on and fluid in. The pads were OK but a bit old (pretty sure they are OEM). Same for the fluid

Just curious-is that a VT500 Ascot, or an FT? Always wanted a VT500. By the time I finally decided to get one-couldn't find one! Figures

1984 Honda VT500F the water cooled twin. Trivia: I was at Barber and they got one in that had under 1000 miles was garage kept, the guy changed the gas yearly and still had paint on the bottom of the center stand. The restoration guy said they pulled the plates and washed it.

Umm no. Next I need to get the energy to pull the side case and put the new one on. Sadly it is almost like pulling the engine as I have to drop the pipes and part of the subframe.
