So, I HATE my arrow rearsets on my ZX-10. Not adjustable enough for my taste, and kinda "clunky" on the shifts.
I have owned Sato in the past (man, they shifted like butter), but my concern is the adjustability. I'm kicking around some Attack rearsets because they seem to have a great amount of adjustablity. I know Vortex is also highly adjustable but, their peg is WAY to rough on the soles of boots (and at nearly 300 lbs with my gear on, my boots will be ruined in no time with those).
So, any thoughts on the Attack rearsets? Maybe Woodcraft? Others? Again, my chief concern is 1) great amount of adjustability and 2) Pegs that aren't cut in a way that will destroy a boot in a few trackdays.
Any thoughts or advice, is as always, much appreciated.
The Vortex ones have some seriously gnarly pegs.... they will definitely chew up your Sidis. I had them for my 1000... I ordered more for my 600 but they are basically backordered forever so I went with Woodcraft. Not quite as adjustable as the Vortex but I prefer the linkage (direct to the shifter without having to use the extra stock pivot). Also they are more of a "racer's brand" and made in the USA so replacement parts are cheap and readily available. The Sato and Gilles stuff is really nice but forget about replacement parts. I think the Gilles "VCR" sets are probably the ultimate in adjustability though.
Plus one for sato, I love mine, but if they don't adjust enough for you that is a problem.
love mine too. they seem as adjustable as you can get with the exception of ones like the Gilles VCR type. and I had no problem getting some replacement parts from Dan Kyle for them.

Love the Satos on my 1098, as I did the ones on the RC. I've got the Vortex on my 600. They're great, but the pegs are way coarse. I've got a friend who put these rubber O-rings on his, in the recesses between the teeth, and I thought that was a really clever way to retain good grip while making them not so abrasive.

Point is, I have arrows right now. I dislike them. Not very adjustable and clunky on the shifts (got 2 false neutrals yesterday, and that was never a problem on my stock set).
My biggest concern is adjustability. I'm staying clear of Vortex (Im close to 300lbs with my gear on and those Vortex pegs will destroy my boots in no time); and Sato as much as I love their feel (had some on my ZX-14, they were outstanding), don't have the adjustability I am looking for. Someone mentioned Gilles VCRs, but it doesn't look like they make them for the ZX-10.
So, I was wondering what your experience has been with the Attack rearset? Any insight would be helpful.

The Vortex rearsets are extremely durable and plenty adjustable. The pegs are really sharp, but I've heard of people filing them down to make them less so. Just a bit, so that are like little spikes but still provide grip. That would be my recomendation. But, yea I'd stay away from the Attack rearsets unless they redesigned the way the pegs mount. I guess you could saftey wire it too. Your call I guess.

Thanks H-D. Perhaps, Vortex with some gentle grinding is the way to go.
I've had the Vortex pegs on mine for about a year and a half. Haven't gotten a ton of track days but mine's also a daily driver/weekend ride bike and hasn't done too much damage to my Sidis. For a reference, I just took a look at the bottom of my new Gaerne's that I have with me (3 months old, about 3000 road miles)and the left sole has a little bit of wear from shifting. I have had some nice scabs on my shins from bumping into the bike in the garage though.

I had Attacks for two years. No problems, but they flexed more than I like, and weren't anodized (which pissed me off thoroughly).
I wouldn't recommend them.

I have the Aratas...... AWESOME.... AWESOME.... AWESOME.
Fully Adjustable and very well built. Pricey (about the same as SATO), but worth it. Once I embraced the Joy of being bent into a pretzel, I loved the rearsets.
They have nice stuff by way over priced on most of their items. I say that because I have no idea what their stuff is really like. For the RC their rear sets are more expensive then the Satos. I find their designs interesting but can they be worth it?
Those were on the bike when I bought it, so I didn't have to shop for rearsets. I was just throwing those out there as another option.
