That's because parts made from melted down olive oil tins strip a bit too easily....

If it's like any other assembly line, I'm guessing they use preset click wrenches with flare fitting heads anyway...

Re: Galfer Superbike Lines

Actually I'd like to have a 16lb*ft and a 23lb*ft in the toolbox. That takes care of most of the simple Hondoo bits...

*Trouble is, you need a way to calibrate them occasionally... :/

Ok, finally installed the Galfer Superbike lines today. For those of you that have them, it says to ziptie the two lines together. Did you just zip the lines together, or did you also zip them around the lower triple, or a bracket on the lower triple?

Thanks, JetB! That looks like the best option. Anyone find any other way?

Parts unlimited has a trick little holder for them in their catalog. I had one on my RC. It's a small metal fitting that clasps the two lines together between the upper and lower triple.....

You should be able to find this part, and it comes in multiple colors so you can accessorize (Silver, gold, blue, etc)

I zip them together, but I put a zip tie between the lines to keep them from rubbing.

Funny, I haven't messed with lines in years, but I just did a set over the weekend myself.

Cool, thanks guys! And to clarify, the two lines that you zip tie together are NOT then zip tied to a bracket on the lower triple, like the stock lines are?

I've got a blue one (the metal fitting I described), new in the package, at home, if you want it. Just PM me your addy and I'll mail it to you. It not only does what you need, there is some spacing so the 2 lines don't rub.
