Re: On board cam question?
Technology has moved on from when I looked at them before, and unfortunately have lost all my bookmarks from that time.
Did a quick search and found this: Rugged Digital Video Recorder (DVR) for Harsh Environments That is probably more ideal for our usage, but I don't see a price ... and it is likely to be pricey. Well, maybe not that one, found the price: http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/stack11.htm This looks interesting too: Safety Vision: Police Products: Digital: PatrolRecorder CF: The PatrolRecorder CF provides high quality digital recording with a convenient removable compact flash for easy data or this: http://www.ovation.co.uk/FlashBack-2%20Rugged%20DVR.html or: Learn about Panasonic's TOUGHBOOK-ARBITRATOR - Mobile Digital Video System<br>Includes: Camera, Wide Angle Lens, Camera Mount, P2 Recorder, Cable If I find the reference I was thinking of, I'll be sure to post it up. Sorry.

Re: On board cam question?
He's talking about what you use to record the video from the helmet camera. Options that allow a lanc (remote start/stop) seem to be going away. A very nice option on a bike, with gloved hands and hidden recorders.

Re: On board cam question?
I think I will like this MiniDV VCR thing. A bit bigger but seems more durable (hopefully). I am not sure how low the LCD will last but it is a bit easier to watch than a cam screen.
