I tested out my ContourHD around the house... pretty easy to use and the software makes it really simple to upload and share vids. The "editing" seems to be limited to cropping clips... I might need better software in order to make decent vids with music, etc.

I think for dirtbiking a helmet mount is still the best solution. I can see it being way too shakey mounted to the bike.

More info on the vholdr: the goggle strap won't hold the weight of the camera. It kept sliding off the side of my helmet and when I tried without the helmet on, it flops around when jumping. Want to be able to use the goggle strap mount (it helps keep the goggle strap in place on the helmet) but need to find a way to semi-permanently fix it to the helmet.

Anyone found a good file editor? Got some decent video of the kid snowboarding but it's a little long.

I did a quick chop of the Tobacco Roads ride using Win7 - "Windows Live Movie Maker". I'm also interested in something better, if anyone has suggestions for manipulating .mov or .mp4 files on a Win7 box.
