    V.I.O. POV1 footage

Ok. I've been playing around with IMOVIE and managed to compress the snowmobiling video we made this year.

It's running at a significantly reduced quality and rate, but you still get some idea.

It's also filmed using the old lens. You can tell when it go cold b/c the video gets cloudy and the focal point became about 5ft. Some of it's ok b/c I figured out that wrapping the lens in a toe warmer worked pretty well. The new wide-angle lens supposed to be glass, not plastic, and should take care of the cold issue.

I'll post up some shorter clips at higher quality after work. I'll also try to get some new shots with the wide angle within a few days.

Credit where credit is due....that's my wife catching air at 2:13, not me.

    Almost forgot:

Watch in a very small window to get an idea how the VIO performs.

The video quality suffered some in the transfer, but if you watch it in about a 3x3" window it's pretty close to what it looks like full-screen on IMOVIE. The frame rate is still slower though.

Do you have a higher quality footage? even a few still images would do fine.

I've got a clip from last week that's less than 100mb.

Only problem is that it's raw .avi footage. How do I convert it to a format that the .org will allow me to upload?
