Garmin 2009 update?

So has anyone ever downloaded the update to a GPS? I can see the updated info being good but if my GPS does not agree..... I don't think I can replace the maps on the GPS totally but MIGHT be able to load the southeast (Garmin Quest2)

Does the Quest2 run NT mapping? If not, then NO to your question about updating the maps on it.

As far as running the 2k9 maps, yep, I've updated a few. Nuvi Zumo Sp2720. The updates are avail at walmart now for 69$ USD.

I am told the NON-NT maps for 2k9 will be out in the next month or so. This may be what you need for your quest2 if the NT doesen't fly.

I was just looking at this earlier. I know there are some roads missing from the 2008 maps and there are some that have changed (such as there used to be a rotary right before the bridge to Cape Cod, but they did away with it and made it much more confusing).

its only $60 on amazon Amazon.com: Garmin 2009 North American Map Update for Garmin GPS Units: Electronics thinking about buying it.

Yep I have City Select v7 on there and was not sure on space. I have been looking at a Zumo and hate to through away money if the update will be lame as I can spend that (and more) on a Zumo

You need to delete the old maps then install the new ones...see post #5 here:
Unlocking Maps - GPS Discussion

That should solve your issue

Screw NT9, you can update your Quest2 with the complimentary update code you get with the new maps you'll receive with your Zumo

Now there is some savings for ya

Actually I will have no need of updating the Quest if I get a Zumo. The Quest has been good but it is worn out and in need of an update (CPU, menus, everything)
