Tank Tredz

I purchased this after painting the tank, I had Stomp Grip last year and liked it but like anything, you may be satisfied with something until something better comes along later. The tank tredz do help keep a grip on the bike while leaned over. The tank Tredz seem better due to the compound they use compared to the Stomp grip, they seem to grip better but are smoother than the Stomp Grip. The material is grippy rather than sticky. Tank tredz are also easier to install due to the lack of little bumps like Stomp Grip has. They are similar in price.

Re: Tank Tredz

Had some egrips material on my cell phone. Their products are amazing, I could put my phone on almost verticle surfaces, and it never slid around on a car dash. Glad they are making something for bikes.

Re: Tank Tredz

What do you guys think about something like that for street riding?

Sometimes when I try to hold myself up with my knees (rather than having all the weight on my wrists) there's not enough friction between my pants and the tank--especially when it's cooler outside.

You can solve that issue if you go out in the buff...... Your bare thighs on the tank will hold you in place......

Satin culats not gripping well?

My recommendation is to stop wearing pants. It's cheaper.

Re: Tank Tredz

Hmm...two votes for riding naked to solve the problem.

Sold!

The pics from my next ride are forthcoming!

Re: Tank Tredz

The tanktredz will be easier on the legs with jeans as opposed to Stompgrip. But either will work well, I just think that the tanktredz are better IMO.

I'm glad for you because the Stompgrip people suck as customer service goes, at least for me.

I ordered a kit on 04/14/2007 and canceled the order since they were not shipping it. Now, even with a canceled order, they are shipping it. Unfortunately they have my cc info and I'm sure they'll charge me no matter what I do. I'm not on a fighting mood lately.
