    2010 Multistrada

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Another 1200cc sport touring machine.

Ducati sent me the link earlier today. Do you think this thread will be 23 pages?

If they can apply some of the styling cues of their more 'conventionally beautiful' bikes, that will go a long way toward getting people to recognize its sport touring capabilities.

I really hope they hit this out of the park.

I'd love to see the same thing. A bike that's as good looking as the 848/1198 with some nice matched hardbags and real-world ergo's.

Nah, if there's one thing Ducati gets right it's their paint.

I've always been fond of the multi. I think it look good from every angle but the front, but more importantly I was intrigued by the the function and exclusivity (if you can call it that) that it had to offer. It was different, and yet still capable. A very interesting combo IMO

Some more pictures. Looks good with bags.

The 150 hp liquid-cooled motor will be nice. Electronically controlled Ohlins also.

Going to be very hard to get past that nose, though.

Indeed. It looks like a bird. And not a bird of paradise.

I like it other than the hideous intake. They even did a nice job with the exhaust.

Did you see the blurb on that page about a new Hyper?

I don't mind the nose, and like the exhaust as well. Although, the large dual underseat exhaust of the previous gen was something that I really liked as well. Reminded me of a double-barrel 12 gauge ready to take out anyone that tail-gated.

Maybe it's impossible to make this bike not look dumb from the front?

The engine and management systems sounds great! Also, the elctro-Ohlins would be very cool.

I wonder how a bike that tall with this much suspension will handle 150hp?

Other than the nose, the only thing I would change about my bike would be to add some more top end power. A 1098 motor would probably fill that calling nicely...

Looks like a 999 and a GS-A had a love child...something about it definitely appeals to me.

I think they need to take a saw to that intake and chop it back about 6-8 inches, they'd have a decent looking bike then.

I hope they don't fuck up the Hyper because that is such a nice looking bike.

Jesus... even with the big nose this thing cannot be ignored. The sport touring package comes with electronically adjustable ohlins suspension, hard luggage, traction control, etc etc.

I don't know that it's enough to pull me away from the VFR1200 but damn this is gonna be an interesting bike show next month.

edit: if I decide I want one of these I'll have to delete the VFR blog I started!

That looks pretty interesting. I could definitely see myself on one of those more than either the VFR1200 or GS. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the reviews have to say.
