Man, if only I'd have waited a couple of months before buying my new Tundra.

I call bullsh*t.... we all know that people who track their Desmo's pull it with some big hause.... or small semi..... That toyota could pull a small trailer, but come on, we all know that the trackers are pulling $50K+ trailers for their track day efforts.

In Cali we have a trailer law limiting speed to 55 which is a pain; that Toyota concept would be incredibly great to have for single track days in fair weather.

Not preferred for race weekends or long travel though. There only a trailer will do.

Interesting, I didn't know that.

Still I like the concept here. If they came up with a good looking topper for it that would cover the bike I think it would really be cool. I really like some of the ideas they packaged here. The built in solar panel is great. I'd like to see them idea built in to the top of many RV's, camper shells, truck toppers, etc. The in bed storage is also nice. I'm interested in the new Dodges that have similar storage, much smaller scale, but useful. The one man fold out ramp is also pretty trick. Again something I'd like to see as a removable accessory maybe.

Some better pics here: SEMA: Toyota's Tacomas & The Ducati Tundra - Tremek Car Videos - Street Car Drag Racing Videos

Expect it to take a long time if you don't have a fast connection.

Toyota owns a good chunk of Yamaha, so it's probably no big thing.

That does look like something that could get you to the track just in time though.

I realize this is an exhibition project, but I think they overlooked the obvious, and should have started with a Sprinter van....that would actually be a pretty kickass conversion....

The Sprinter is a dodge product isn't it? Or are you saying a Sprinter like Van?

As long as you figure out how to deal with rocket fuel fumes.

I used to borrow Dad's van(s) to haul bikes and never really liked it. The fuel gets overwhelming, and I bang the hell out of my head loading and unloading (Sprinter would help that some).

The security and protection from the elements and at gas stops and such, compared to a pick-up, is nice though.

I read the comment about the Sprinter about an hour ago and thought, "that would work well." Then I was driving around and saw one. I explained the "project" to my wife and she's on board. It shouldn't be too hard to create a sealed wall between the cargo compartment and front end if you really were serious about doing a total conversion. Then you could put an RV like roof top vent with fan in the rear part to help with fumes.

I was at Sema and some how totally missed this. That show is so damn big it is hard to make it to all the areas.

They had a few really nice tundras there. There was a nice red TRD one lowered with the blower/wheels. I was thinking how it would make a nice track truck.
