With Ducati's product success last year, I find it incredible that their profit was only $19M, only a ~$30M swing from the 'bad times' loss in 2006.

MotoGP and WSBK cost millions to run so that really puts a big dent in a little companies profits. pretty good money for such a small company that produces no where near the amount of bikes each Japanese factory can whip out at a moments notice. in any case I hope that if the takeover does happen that they keep the existing management in place. the guys running the show now are doing an outstanding job.
