The new 1098

Anyone had a chance to sit on the new 1098? How does it compare in terms of ergos to the current liter bikes? I'm thinking it would be less comfortable then my 954.

I would be afraid too. The result of such action would end in a divorce.

I like the 954 over any tax form.

supposedly more comfortable than previous ducati sportbikes... Comparable to the other sport bikes out there.

Re: The new 1098

My wife told me to go buy one but I'm trying to be practical about this. I know, I know........ Just want to make sure I don't get rid of my 954 which I love and get something I'm not happy with. It has to be as comfortable as my 954 as I do long hauls.

Your wife told you to buy a Ducati???
She probably thinks having you working in the garage is safer than having you riding around somewhere.

I'd make a good guess the Japanese stuff is more comfy when you're not charging.

My MV feels quite a bit like my 929 did after I set it up as a racebike. It's only a bit less aggressive.

The Italians typically make their ergos fully committed.

That's another reason why I want to wait year to see if the bike will have any reliability issues.

I think that may have been true in the past but I think this bike will be a bit different!

Re: The new 1098

Which would indicate it's still a rack.

It's all relative. Ride a road bike a bit, and any motorcycle feels like a couch.

Re: The new 1098

I was always comfortable on my RC51, which others touted as a rack.

Put all of us out of your misery and just give them an even trade on both of your bikes already :P
