It was a Frank Hawley clinic at Gainsville (That's George Bryce in the red shirt). I left the hair out for the pictures, because no one would believe it was me otherwise.
It was a real eye-opener and a butt-load of fun! (although very expensive).

i bet it was expensive, and fun. what kind of times were you running on their bikes, and what size were they?
I am not post whoring, I am providing an abundance of useless opinion.
Three bikes, the race trailer, a crew of five, George, Angelle, and the rental of the track/medics: $2000. for two days. You bring your own helmet, gloves and boots.
The pic was taken in '99 when the old 1st season GSXR 1100's were used (detuned @ 250 hp!). George was nervous about me not having any race experience, or owning a sportbike at the time (I owned a Magna). By day two, I was only "cleared" for half-track, 4th gear. I think the timeslip said something like 122.5 for that 1/8th mile... (?) I had lots of things to learn in two days: body position, burn outs, dry hops, launches, air shifters - all those things were new to me.
I'm going back again after I retire! They only do it in Gainsville, so that requires a plane trip, hotel, rental car, and the time off. It gets very expensive when you add it all up.
