I bet he cleared the beam and hit the 1/4 mi mark before the 60' timer ran out.

he's lucky - he could have been choked by the strap and killed otherwise. Helmets are dangerous pal

Word is that he had it strapped, but the quick connector came undone in the wreck.

Re: Take off in 5.4.3.2..

If you race accidents can happen.

Judge the man if you want to, but my question is whether or not you have the brass to get on that bike and twist the throttle to run a low 8 sec pass down the quarter at close to 200MPH.

I don't see anyone judging anybody. If the dude really did put a quick release clip on his helmet strap it's his own fault for his helmet flying off and he's lucky he's alive. As for the bike getting looped...it happens.

Having it fastened properly would preclude the use of any quick connector. Why would you want to defeat the entire safety of wearing a helmet by messing with the approved fastening system? He might as well have had it on backwards and unstrapped.

I was wrong, this bike isn't an 8 second bike. This is an OutLaw bike. It runs in the low 7 second range.

Not anymore it doesn't... he'll be lucky if it starts without blowing up.

Perhaps there was a malfunction...
