Friend Flips His turbo Busa... and survives...

Amazingly survived this without anything life threating...

concusion that had his short term memory going round robin for about 2 days... a brused shin bone... sprang ankle (surprisingly not the one that is twisted in the picture) He was sent home after a day in the hospital for observation...

It was the first time he'd had his busa to the track after some motorwork and mods.. he was setting up his lock up and didn't get high enough on his Rev's and maintain those Revs so the boost didnt get a chance to build up like it should.. causin the motor to bogg off the line then when the RPM kicked in later it threw the timing all off with teh lock up and Up and Over it went...

We think if he'd had his feet on the pegs he might have been able to get out of the wheelie intime to keep it from flippin but as he went up he was hangin from the bars like a monkey and no way to control anything...

He had the throttle pegged and no way to get off the gas since he was suspended in mid are as soon as it came up...

it was a scary thing to witness a buddy floppin around like a rag doll

oh yeah they split his leathers up oneside and down the other .. had him there in his underwear waiting to be put on the board...

I gotta admit there's times Im runnin late to line up and I don't zip my leather together but I got the extended jacket so I dont' have that much separation but this pictured def will make me think twice next time..

his boots were cheapy simpson boots and did nothing to really protect his feet.. the one boot was duck taped because the sole was startin to separate... he would have possibly not had injured his foot with proper boots.. BUT alot of dragracers use these because they are flexible and light weight.

oh I think he had a broken toe... again not on the foot that is all twisted...

It's a full zipper with full inner protection from SYED Leathers.. can't get any better than that.. I just been too lazy to zip it when I'm runnin late for the stagin lanes

ain't hit 200 YET! closest would be 176 mph on a freinds turbo busa that was loosin boost and not runnin to it's full potential

DEPO was reffering to my GSXR. The CCT started to make a ticking sound on the paddock before a session.
