Bristol Dragway, finally streetfights are going again

After a 2 month delay because of having to repave the first 180ft of the dragstrip Bristol Dragway finally got streetfights back up and running tonight.
Was so happy to be able to get back on the strip.

Am quite rusty on my launches but was able to pull out a best run of 10.765@135.63

am hoping to improve that down to the 10.1-10.2 range in the next couple nights out there.

Wish Naarden would get my dang adjustable lowering link done so I can drop her down and strap her for these nights but oh well, no love for the 1000RR in the drag world..

A 10.7 isn't too shabby. Nice going. Get someone to take some pics of you.

Re: Bristol Dragway, finally streetfights are going again

One of the local riders here is a photgrapher and he is going to be there thursday night getting pics of all of us.

My gf Tara ran her 600rr and made an 11.745@122.26 for her best run. Her very first time ever drag racing. She's hooked now.

no, he got a better launch than me that's all, that's right after the start line. Beat him by over half a second...

Re: Bristol Dragway, finally streetfights are going again

I just never bother taking the pucks off.

60' was shitty all night 1.951 with a 7.143 1/8 and 10.765 1/4

we ran again tonight but the asshole running the lanes only let the bikes run 3 times in 3 hours and the cars all got to go at least 3 times to our 1.

but i ran like crap all three times, don't know whatr my problem was tonight. of course only running once an hour I could not get into my groove at all.

Oh well, there's always next tuesday.

Ya but some parts probably fell off the zook midway down the track.

I am hating running it stock. Want to be able to lower it and be able to bring her right back up for street duty. seems Just about every other bike has them available except mine.

Re: Bristol Dragway, finally streetfights are going again

Thought about giving that a shot but it I don't want to go thru a trial and error having parts machined and not being exactly right and spending a bunch of money on something that may not work.

Will just continue to wait on naarden. If they don't come thru this year then a busa or zx-14 may be in my future for drag racing purposes.

You've got a headlight out

Good times though, dang respectable for unstrapped OE

Re: Bristol Dragway, finally streetfights are going again

You know, it's actually been quite a while since I heard anyone say the whole headlight out line... Maybe they are all finally starting to realize that just about every bike out now is using the seperate lowbeam/highbeam setup.

I am hoping to bring the time down a little more. My launches have to get more consistant.
