DreamRyder Takes 2nd Place to Kent Stotz in the TSDRA Finals May 9th...
Bike was on a mission Sat for sure at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI..
temps were cold around 45, had rained that morning and stayed cloudy all day but traction was good
10 bike entry with only the Top 8 to compete:
I was top Qualifier after First Run with a 7.81
I was 2nd Qualifier after Second Run - Kent Stotz took first with a 7.6 something
My highlight of the day was Droppin my Career Best from a 7.73 to a 7.62 @ 187mph
Just wish I had been able to back that up in the Finals with Kent.. it would have made for a CLOSE race for sure.. We left the line together we were at the 60 together but after that I got out of the groove and skated the rest of my way down track to end with only a 7.99 to his 7.52... (my mistake... ran without my headlight on.. couldnt' see the groove well enough down track in the dark)
First Set of Vids...
HUGE THANKS TO BUZ's Friend for taking video of all of our passes... he was great :chrs:
and Thanks again to Buz and Nem for their support Sat.. I was a lil nervous with all three of us racing and being on my own sorta speak. Rosales helped line me up for a run or two but had to leave early.
Thanks to all my sponsors too for the help with the parts to get me up and running right for the event and to R & R Trailers and R and P Carriages for the sweet trailer to get me there in
Eric you're clutch worked like a charm.. almost hate to give it back to ya :hys: (thanks for letting me borrow it for the event... will swap it out tonight with the one you fixed for me)

I aborted this run because the bike was pulling me again through the lights and after launchin the bike felt like either tire spin or cluth spin cuz I was going no where fast LOL and I didnt' want to screw up Eric's clutch if it was doign the same thing mine had done.. after getting back to the pits to check it out.. the clutch basket, hub, and bearings were all fine .. stack height was fine... tried it again in pits did same thing with pulling even with lever in. Nem suggested we bleed the line and see if that helps.. him and buz went right to it and tested the bike again and it was fine.. hopefully the little airpocket they found in the line was the issue ALL ALONG with it pulling on me from time to time... after that the bike didn't try to pull at all.... THANKs GUYS
E's Final Round with Kent Stotz
(I chose to not turn on my headlight thinking I woudln't need it.. because of that I could not see that I had gotten out of the groove. I was skating around from the 330 and on.. could tell especially with my MPH at the 1/8 being 20 less than usual... would have been a good race had I not gotten out of the groove.. )
