No worries. I've got the Aprilia thing like some have the GS or Apple thing. It's all good.

He certainly made not bones about throwing the new beemer under the bus.

BMW had one of these out at my last trackday here at Streets. What a sweet ride. I offered them to hold the keys to my R1200GS which costs a a lot more than this thing and they wouldn't let me take it out on the track.

The ABS on this bike has three levels to choose from and I also believe you could change the map on the fly as well.

All I know is the dude that was on this bike was SMOKIN the numbered bikes in the fast group and not breakin a sweat.

This months Motorcyclist definitely makes this thing sound incredibly cool from a tech stanpoint. The traction control, wheelie control, etc all sound great. I'd be sold if I could get past the looks and the insane desire for Italian heartache.

I actually don't mind the looks all that much, although I'll withhold final judgment for when I see it in person.
The price, compared to the other stuff, doesn't seem that bad either.

Why don't you sell your GS, buy the 1000 and we'll trade off every couple of weekends?

my thoughts exactly, but I like it. Every part of this bike lacks originality, but it looks good enough and probably performs better than a lot of bikes.

    D'Oh!

Seriously though, I'll miss my old reliable commuter/track bike but I think this winter the aftermarket stuff will be sold separately and then the bike will get sold or traded in. I already have an interested party for my Ohlins forks...he may even be a member here
