Agreed. A $20,000.00 sport bike should look unique, not look like all the other $11,000.00 sportbikes.

I thought it was supposed to be priced competetively with the jap bikes?

Talked to the local dealer yesterday. They said that the plan is that the first batch of bikes will be higher priced homologation bikes and the second round will be considerably less money. They are still expecting to be able to sell them in the 13k range.

Exactly. That's why my wife isn't invited to this party. Though I do discuss some of you with her on a strictly, "need-to-know" basis.

The green sucks but I like the black and the silver, not in the same way I like looking at a Ducati, but it isn't bad.

Thus far, I've really like the way it looked in WSBK trim - even more so than the new Aprilia. But in typically BMW bike fashion, they make the headlights all goofy. However, that seems to be the case with all the sportbikes lately.

I like it, save for the lights. There, I said it.

It's odd to me...looks like a Honda designed by Aprilia, sort of.

    193hp and 405# = 25k$?

    I still want a HP2 sport...

I've never seen an Aprilia with gills... or that looked uncomfortable (as the BMW does, IMHO). Even the Aprilia Caponord has some visually endearing characteristics. I don't see any of that in the BMW.

Of course, I'm a little biased towards Noale

I didn't say it looked like an Aprilia I said Honda with Aprilia, it is some bastard machine.

It looks ok, but the look is not compelling for me.
