2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

Also part of their lineup announcement recently... the new paint schemes for the RSV-R Factory.

More proof that Liberace lives, and he works at Aprilia. I really, really, really, want them to go back to the minimalist pain schemes of the 04/05 years. I mean, this is their top end machine.

I like gold on bikes more than you, and even I think that is incredibly tacky.

Agreed. That even looks worse than the gold Ohlins on my silver Blade.

That's why I say Liberace. I could see him with this, if were to have rode a sport bike.

Re: 2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

I saw one of these at the dealer today, and I must say that the pictures don't do it justice.

It's even more hideous in person.

The gold frame is a completely different gold than that on the forks and wheels! Huh?

What were they thinking? It looks awful. I like the bike other than that nasty looking gold frame. Horrible.

Re: 2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

I actually don't mind it. It certainly is different from all the other frame colours out there - and from a grp that generally hates polished/chrome frames (myself included) a duller gold I thought would be less offensive?

The red white bits remind me too much of Yammy bikes tho

I don't know about tacky, but the gold frame has to either match and have the gold cover the swing arm or all of it should just be black.

I'd still take one if they were giving it away...

Re: 2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

See it in person. The gold on the frame versus the gold on the wheels and forks isn't remotely close. A real head scratcher. Either make it the same or make them completely different colors. It just looks wacky. Otherwise a really nice bike with lots of trick bits.

Do the front and rear wheels really have those different spoke patterns?

Re: 2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

The RSV Factory is very unappealing in person, but it looks great next to this year's Tuono..

Interestingly, nearly every component looks great by itself, and the welds and build quality are obviously very good. The package could benefit with a can of flat black krylon, though.

Just great! So now what do I do...? Either search for a case of Krylon or try to find an aftermarket source for candleabra mounts?

Re: 2007 Aprilia RSV-R Factory

This is so sad.
The all black carbon-fiber Factory was sooooo pretty.
I seriously considered Aprilla when I got the blade. You can't move the rear-sets back without changing the pipe, so that shot it down for me.
