Dan, you just have to get this Italian thing out of your system. That's a nice looking bike, but there's no way I'd pay more for it than a new CBR600.

Re: Nice looking Aprillia Factory

You're probably right. Honestly, before I buy another street bike I'll probably buy a toy car. But it's all moot as I've got so much other crap to bannish from my "net worth equation" first.

The only street bike I plan to buy is a Goldwing.

It's nice, but he should have repaired the can on the left side, where it went down. Full Ohlins suspension is nothing to sneeze at, and I'd take this over a CBR600 any day of the week. Vees pawn all

Re: Nice looking Aprillia Factory

With a VFR and an SV in the garage, I'm not about to argue with you there, but there's Ohlins and then there's Ohlins. And there's Japanese craftsmanship and Italian, uh, "time for my break, I'll finish this later. Unless there's another strike. WooHoo!!"

Good lookin' 'priller!

I've heard of very few craftsmanship/reliability issues with the Rotax lump and it's hard to argue against Ohlins.

Do it and don't look back!

That is definitely better looking than stock.

It really isn't that much different from Stock... remember this is an '04, the same year as mine. Use that as a comparison.

From first glance, it looks like the only major change was the bodywork re-paint.

Yeah, exactly. It looks like your bike, with bling and solid red paint.

Which means, it looks better than anything the most stylistically challenged painters in motorcycledom have cranked out.

Yours is the only Aprilia I've ever seen that looks pretty good...and I haven't seen many that color combo. Like, I think just yours.

And that IS the first step!

I was going to curse you for posting this, HD, it really is gorgeous in all red! I was thinking I would have to start the "FJR For Sale" thread!

But what I think is going to happen is that a certain RC51 is going to get a monocromatic red color scheme....

If you change your mind I'll be happy to go look it over for you since it's in my hood. I think I even traded PM's w/ that guy a few years ago.
