Re: Aprilia Super-Supermoto?
Cool, but in my opinion a 'tard should be small and light: I can't imagine a 1200 will be very light.
I sort of skimmed through a review of the Ducati Hypermotard last night, and the reviewers confirmed my suspicion that it's really more of a big 'standard' than a motard. Xuas can treat it like motard, but mere mortals probably shouldn't try. |

Re: Aprilia Super-Supermoto?
Where is the gold frame?
Looks cool, and I can see use for it. I think it would make a very cool commuter, especially with the rough roads (sometimes dirt) that we have here in SE Michigan. It would be a fun hooligan kind of bike, and likely a lot more comfortable on a couple hundred mile Saturday ride than the more purpose built SM's. I would very rarely, if ever, be able to use the true SM capabilitis on the street ... and keep my license anyway I like it

Even better IMO. Thing looks like a wicked fun commuter and weekend fun bike.

The "Hypermotard" is simply clever marketing of a standard. Nothing wrong with that, and most that buy them will be happy, but it's no dirt bike for the street.
