Wow, that guy had a rocket of a bike, eh?
I can't wait to put it in the track.

Way cool. There were some great passes that they pulled off on those things that really show off the superior corner speed.

Edit: They must only be able to handle one person at a time watching those videos...

Watching the second video it would only go to 87%. I've waited for a while but it would not finish loading.

For me I got the second one to work fine eventually but couldn't get the first one past 21%

Slightly unrelated buuutt...could one of you SXV guys satisfy some of my curiosity? I'd like to know the measurement from the ground straight up to the pegs, straight up to the lowest point on the seat, and straight up to the bars. Just at static sag with just the bikes own weight.

Hmmm, I watched both straight through with no issues.

Wish I could help with the dimensions you seek, but mine is still at the shop down in SLC receiving some minor enhancements...

I'll get the measurements in as soon as I clear a few of this issues I'm having. I'm on call today.

What were the leading guys in the motards doing with their left hands down by the motor going down the straight? They have timing advance boxes on them now?

either that or trying to warm their hands up..

but seriously I'd say its just an aerodynamics thing, its not easy to tuck behind a bike without a fairing/windscreen to create a bubble..so the less you have sticking out the less drag you have aerodynamically... used to do the same racing my waveblaster for better top speed.. its not a drastic improvement but from one end of the straight to another it might be the difference of a couple 10ths of a second which over the length of a race might be the difference between 1st and 2nd place

Seems to me I recall that's the way the flat trackers have always done it on the straights.

To the pegs: 14 + 3/8"
To the seat: 35 + 1/2"
To the HB: 45 + 1/2"

Sorry I don't have a metric tape that big...

Sweet thanks. Did you measure to top, center, or bottom of the bars and pegs?

To the lowest place you can rest your feet on the pegs.
To the center of the bars.
To the lowest point of the seat.

The XR came in very close but off by just a bit, though not in the directions I expected. I was fully expecting the bars on the Ape to be a little lower and the pegs higher. I was looking for more justification for buying bars with less bend so they end up lower. I guess I'll just leave things alone for now.

To the pegs: 14 1/2"
To the seat: 35 3/4"
To the HB: 44 3/4"

Seems like the measurements are close enough I'd say.

Yeah, very close. Sometime I'd like to do a more in depth comparison of the total geometry.
