Aprilia's new Mana-X
Introduced at the Milan Show last year, I think, these are some pics I've found.
This one, same as that new BMW Lo Rider, makes me want to buy non-racing bikes. It's been a long while since that's happened.
There are some really exciting new models coming down the pipe...

Totally agree with you on both of those bikes. Is the ManaX coming stateside?
...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG

I wonder if there will be passenger pegs on it. Whatever I get next HAS to have provisions for my wife. She's a little bitter that there isn't anything on the motard. She feels like I ditched her.

Buy her her own XR.
I don't know if it will be a "puddle jumper" but it is based on the 800cc CVT Mana. That would be the perfect bike for my wife...

And just what in the hell are supposed to do with that thing?

I think it's a great bike for around town riding, which is what most people I know do anyways.
If they price it right it will sell better than the monster IMO.
But we appreciate your input. It might not count as much as others, but we appreciate it nonetheless.

Have you been taking "American smart ass 101 recently"?
If so, it's working.

If anything maybe something like a Ruckus or a CRF150. She's just one of those people that I don't think belongs on a bike on the road.

I think that's part of the appeal to me. It's kinda like an old bobber. Just the bare essentials.

I'm not sure about outselling the monster but I think it would sell well. I just don't think that anyone outside of the MC world has ever heard of Aprilia which isn't true of Ducati. My dad and brother would at least recognize the name Ducati. If I said "Aprilia" it wouldn't mean a thing to them.

He does seem to be getting better at that lately.

I think your wife and mine are in the same boat. She wants a Harley.

Well, I was referring to world wide sales. Aprilia might not be well known in the States. I believe Europe is their biggest market. Over there they sell well.
I do believe this bike has the potential to sale better than the Monster. I'm not sure Aprilia could output enough units though. The demand will be there, which will make it only more expensive, but with a smart marketing campaign and the right price, it could be for Aprilia what the Monster was for Ducati a few years ago. I'm a real American now. I've been taking cues from you guys. And I have a reputation to protect now that I ride SuMo Aprilia.

Oh, gotcha. I'd agree that worldwide it is possible.
Good luck with that Harley. Mine doesn't have a real stong desire to ride on her own actually. She always says that she'd like to try it but it really scares her. She does really like to go ride with me though so I need to get something with a rear seat. I'm actually shopping around for a cheap old CB.

I'm wiry
Very cool. I like the no-nonsense Mad Max styling. Aprilia makes some cool bikes, but unfortunately I've never actually seen an Aprilia dealer.
Is it just just me or in the small pics does it look like the muffler has two handprints on it?

My wife does not like bikes at all. She rode with me twice for about 20 minutes total. The "she wants a Harley" is one of those things, "If I bought a bike It'd be a Harley" kinda comments. I've offered many times to teach her how to ride, but it's like she knows what kinda rider I am.

I've got one about 25 minutes from home. They seem like a very nice dealership so far.
You are right, from a distance they look like two hand prints.

I don't think there is one anywhere in Iowa. I know there isn't one anywhere in Des Moines.
The one in Boise, Idaho is the only one I've ever seen in person.
