At least they're cute - you can work on the umbrella positions at the next round.

Second get nothing. Second are looser and should be hiding.

Second got to share his trophy with third place as they ran out of them They took one picture with second holding it and one with third.

Had a nice week-end!! Lots of big names where there as there is a National at this track in 2 weeks. The big rigs where in the pits as well as all the big names in the Canadian series. Szoke, McCormick with team leader Pascal Picotte to name a few. Weather was as usual nasty though...

We ran in the rain on Saturday morning for practice. Most of the Pro's did not ride but I was still really happy to get the second best time overall in the morning practice. One second slower than the aggressive pro rider Martin Grande.

I qualified in first place for the Amateur 600 and in second for the Amateur Superbike.

Long story short, I won the Amateur 600 race but got disqualified for sunning slicks. That's OK. I knew the rules and took a chance. Was not going to spend 425$ on DOT for a race that was paying 200$ for the win. Still got a chance to ride and have fun.

I really won the Amateur Superbike in a combine start with the pro's due to rain coming our way. I was really happy to hold the pace with the pro's for a while, but when the rain started I decided to take it easy, being on slicks, and complete the 12 laps on 2 wheels.

I'm really happy with my times this week-end. I ran a 1:36 flat, with the lap record being 1:28, witch Jordan Szoke did. He's the plate #1 holder, factory Kawasaki rider. I'm proud that I did a 1:36 on a bone stock salvage 600RR. Well, I do have a slip-on..

    Here are some pics.

I though: Do they know how freezing is it? Or it's just me? I got double socks and pants on plus my windstopper jacket..it was that freezing.....Or It just me.....Yeah it's probably just me!! .......

Oh Oh...I got it! They're here cuz the rain is coming, that's why the umbrella is for!!! Obviously!

Oh oh...Are we in 2009??? Do I see half naked women and bikes on the same spot???!? That's so funny!! I took a look on the cell phone and....Yeah ...yeah...we, in fact are in 2009...

So, my feminist side in me take on and on and on..... and after 5 minutes of complaining and used sarcasm to myself about the umbrella girls......

I said: What the hell! Screw them, My hubby is on pole position for God sake! That's awesome! and I screamed: Let's go Honey!!
    And.....
He won!!! I was over the moon!! Yeah baby 1st podium and on the higher step! That's awesome....

but....Ohohohhhhhh oh! Did he won because of the umbrella girls?!??
That's how important they are!!!! Now I get it!

Seriously, That was a great week-end! The weather took a toll on me but I got over it. Sometimes it's nervewraking to see you guys going racing under the rain, my logic doesn't get it sometimes... and a 20 minutes session feels like an hour.....but I had some very good times....
Of course the highlight of the week-end was the podium!
    I'm very proud of JBD!
