TornadoB8 racing 2008 season in the books
This weekend wrapped up my 2008 season. Overall I had a great time, learned a lot, spent loads of $$$, made a bunch of new friends, and gained a ton of respect for anyone who campaigns a full season at any level. It could be said that racing is hard work, but I think more accurately it is a lot of hard fun.
According to my plan formulated over last winter I focused strictly on three classes with the CCS GP region as follows: Formula 40: The old farts race, gray hair and joint suppliments abound. I finished the season with the Championship well in hand. MWSS: Affectionately known as "the meat grinder", "squid fest", etc. I led the Championship most of the season, but let it slip the last two rounds to finish second. Congrats to Anthony Johnson who I just couldn't get around the last two races. MWSB: I like to think of it as "MWSS +" with typically less drama than MWSS, but not always. Held a solid second in the championship points most of the season and was able to maintain until the end as runner-up. Congrats to Ryan Kemp "The Iron Man" who put more race miles on his 600RR than most people tour on their Gold Wings. ![]() There were too many battles and good stories to record here, plus I haven't the mental energy to recount them. So I'm just giving my final results. Thanks again to all my sponsors especially my family and VERY understanding wife!!!!!! ![]()

Not so bad for a first season! What's the catch, you're running by yourself in the Formula 40 and you're 2 in the other class? ![]() Congrats man! Are you going to race next seasons?
