I bought these and took them over to the health-care center where a friend who participated in GLRRA is making a phenomenal recovery from a severe closed head injury sustained at his business. We watched them on my laptop. Unfortunately, he sat that year out, but he enjoyed seeing a lot of people he raced against.
BTW, I haven't seen any #29 Absolute Tech bikes yet, but there are 2 disks with two hours of coverage. We've seen racing at Grattan (pre-motocross!) and Putnam. The 125 race in the rain is outrageous! There are ankle-deep puddles on the track!

According to the eBay auction, they were only of the 600 SS class. We never EVER ran in the 600 classes.

I'm halfway through the first disc, and in addition to the 600s, there is a supertwin race and the 125's. I'll shoot them over to you when Dave and I have finished with them..

Lightweight or heavyweight twins? I was running both that year on the Hawk. I almost passed when it was mentioned only 600's, but I might have to rethink that.

99 was the last year I ran the 250 in GLRRA. If I remember correctly we fielded bike numbers 66, 21 and 29 that year in the 125/250 GP class. I think Nick won the championship that year.

There was a 916 and a TL-R and a "brand new SV650" so I'm guessing heavyweight. A hawk was definitely in the mix, too - ..
Doing well...married....Nick...do they really go together?

Nick did take some really nice pictures! I started racing with GLRRA in 2000. My Nick story is, going thru turn 4 during a race, and something odd caught my attention. It was on the outside of turn 4. I kept getting the feeling that something just wasnt right...like I was being watched. With a quick glance, I noticed someone off in the distance, and up in a tree! On the next lap, as I turned my helmet to show that I was looking at him, looking at me! It was Nick, up in a tree, and he waved at me! A character, he always was!
Here is a trivia question, (with Jeopardy music playing in the background). Who was it that waded Nick's 250 coming on to the straight? A crash that was so hard, that it cracked the frame at the steering head!
Nice pic of you three! Rumor has it that Tommy's TZ in that picture, maybe making an appearance at Grattan '09...

I can't remember who it was, but I was in abtech's garage when he showed up with a trunkful of parts and built a new one to replace it! (Among other notable goings-on in that garage that week )

I don't remember his name, but he paid for a replacement chassis for Nick, but the forks on it were tweaked and I think there were some issues with the steering head as Nick was never comfortable with it after the rebuild . . .
What's this about Tommy's bike? That was mine in 95 and Tommy bought it from me when I got the "new in the crate" 93 TZ (the one in the picture).

I know, I know, but I'm not telling. He never forgave himself, but he's in hiding in California anyway.
The answer is... Who is Mitch Bagdohian... Im sure I butchered his last name. He was great guy and pretty fast on a 125. Not sure what inspired him to run that red and black bumble bee paint scheme on that 125 though...
Your old TZ, that Tommy bought off of you, changed hands a few more times, and maybe making an apearance at Grattan '09. Its needs some work, but I think the plan is to have it there, running laps next year...

Now I know who this is! The "CB1" should have tipped me off, but I'm a lot slower these days . . .
It will be good to see the original "29" TZ back in action
