When I was a kid.... my dad would have looked at me and said what are you crying for you Candy-Ass, get on that bike and stop crying before I really give you something to cry about!

So my advice is stop the whimping and whining, get your fragile little butt back on the saddle and finish it off......

Yeah, and you turned out okay.

Mostly.

I jest a little, but the concept of "Suck it Up" and take it from people in general is weak.

I work with the football team with the lineman and a kids actual asked if he could sit out of practice, because he had a bruised thigh.....

I fell apart laughing almost to the point of tears.

Obviously I don't know the situation, but I got a deep thigh bruise after crashing my mountain bike once and I limped for 3 days. There was really intense pain when I tried to put weight on it--suprised the hell out of me too since I have a pretty high pain threshold.

I'm guessing that this kid's situation was different though since with a deep bruise like I had you'd notice right away if he couldn't put any weight on it. Jeez, I remember playing football in high school and we could have had broken bones and we'd still want to play until the coaches wouldn't let us!
