My third race week-end

Today was practice day. I shaved 5 second off my previous best lap Don't know why, but that's fine with me! That place me in the top 3 of my group..... Maybe a podium this week-end? We'll see. I'll keep you guys updated as the week-ed goes, we have wireless in the pit

Just got off the phone with Jetbdude. He said a storm knocked out the Internet at the track so that's why he hasn't been updating the thread. His race starts at 2pm EST and he gets a go at it from the front row.

Allright.... I started from the first row in third place. Got a good start and was second coming into 1. I was able to hold on to third place for most of the race but did so many mistake it's not even funny. I was all over the place, spun the rear a few times and lost confidence. Finished fifth.

I filmed the race and watched it this morning and I'm even more pissed.... my lines where not good! I knew there was people behind me pushing me and did not reacted well.... I'm less nervous starting behind and work my way up.... gotta to work on this.

I'll put it on youtube later.

Thanks for the fix quote CBRVFR!!
The fact that he was on the front row and he kept the 3rd position for 90% of the race is AWESOME! But most important is that he stay on 2 wheels and got back in the pit on the bike....to me this is a win-win situation right there! Bonus: he finished 5th!

You are your own worst critic, get used to it. Seat time under the green flag is the only real way to improve your results. It doesn't just come all at once . . .

A painful lesson I'm learning as well. Congrats on the great showing, and best wishes for continued improvement and FUN!

Here's some pics of the race....there's from the strait wawy in front of the grand stand. I'm really pround of those pics cuz i'm focus and he goes by in a second, so being able to catch him right dead center is pretty difficult.
JB will probably post some others later with his race comments, but I wans't able to wait...
