Here's the race. I cut the 3rd lap out so that the vid would be under 10 minutes for youtube. Check out at 9:15, close call......

You didn't drag the bike on the asphalt = nice riding

If you win all your races from the start you'll be bored in no time and you'll pick up an Italian accent.

I'm not the type of guy who need to win to be happy. I'd be happy with my fifth place if I had ridden the way I know I'm able to. I was really happy with my 9th and 7th places in the 2 previous race.

I was happy to share a garage with you at Grattan. That shows how low my standards are no?

Since we shared a garage last year too, I'd say it shows you like to see me take my leathers off, biatch!!!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Top 5 finish is damn good. And I'm sure as you reflect on the race you'll be able to pick up some valuable lessons from the experience. I still replay moments from mistakes and think of how to avoid them in the future. The next time you face a similar situation you'll be better prepared. It's better to finish in any position than to get a DNF.

Congrats on 5th place! Have you played with the suspension at all? I have an 07 600RR and the factory settings are crap. The rebound is so soft the bikes is like a pogo stick. With the suspension dialed in (best the factory stuff can be anyway) the bike is much more planted. If you haven't done so already it would be worth your while to get someone in the know to help you dial it in. Will help to build your confidence and improve your lap times.

Nice racing JB! Congrats on getting 5th. Remember you have to first finish before you can finish first!

Thanks everyone!

Firestorm, I played with the suspension quite a bit over the week-end, well, mostly on Friday's practice. I'll get my notes out and let you know where I'm at right now. Whatever I did helped..... I'm hoping there's still room for improvement though.
